When you visit our website, we collect only the information needed to deliver pages to you and to protect the website against abuse, such as your IP address, browser type, and the date and time of your visit.

To limit spam and repeated sign-in attempts, the IP addresses used for these protections are stored only as one-way hashes and are kept for minutes. We do not use advertising tracking, and we do not run our own analytics; our hosting platform sets the cookies described below.

4. How Long We Keep Your Information

Form enquiries and the photos sent with them are kept until we no longer need them for the enquiry or any transaction that follows, and we review them at least every 24 months. Records of staff activity on our systems are kept for 24 months.

Short-lived technical records used for sign-in protection and spam prevention are kept for minutes and store IP addresses only as one-way hashes.

Backups are encrypted and kept for up to 13 months.

Our website does not set its own cookies for visitors; our hosting platform (Emergent) sets two cookies on our pages: __emg_vid, a random visitor identifier kept for up to one year, and __emg_sid, which expires after 30 minutes. Our hosting provider's network (Cloudflare) sets a security cookie that expires after 30 minutes and is used to block automated abuse. Our contact page embeds Google Maps, which may set Google cookies under Google's own privacy policy. Staff who sign in to our private staff area use a strictly necessary session cookie.

You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, if you do not accept cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of our website.
